The night of March 17 starts at 00:11, not midnight. The first commit is a script: brain-launch.sh gets its prompts per phase. The brain is tooling itself to orchestrate what comes next.
Brain API Key — the brain learns to monetize itself
At 00:34, the claim opens: Brain API Key. At 00:53, phases 2b to 5 ship in a single commit:
3514e32 — feat(brain-api-key): phases 2b→5 — deploy + key-guardian + intégration kernel (“feat(brain-api-key): phases 2b→5 — deploy + key-guardian + kernel integration”)
The key server is deployed on the VPS. The key-guardian agent validates at boot, writes the feature_set into brain-compose.local.yml, falls into a grace period if the VPS goes silent. The golden rule: free tier = non-degraded default. Missing or invalid key → silent tier: free, no blocking. The full brain stays accessible without a key. Higher tiers unlock calibrated agents, not basic operation.
72h grace period — if the VPS is unreachable, the last known feature_set is kept. No brutal downgrade on a network outage.
At 01:29, the key server is live in production. At 01:49, the key-guardian bash script is refined — boot validation, 24h cache, 72h grace.
The API Key is delivered. What follows was not planned.
The brain-hypervisor
At 02:17, the contextual separation of BACT — the pattern toolkit — is done. The private space (scope: personal) is excluded from the template. Then at 02:26:
1afbf98 — feat(brain-hypervisor): spec complet — loop, drift detection, BACT hook, modes manuel/v3-9 (“feat(brain-hypervisor): full spec — loop, drift detection, BACT hook, manual/v3-9 modes”)
The brain-hypervisor. The intelligent supervision agent — the one that watches the other agents work, detects when they drift out of their zone, and steps in. Not a manager. Air traffic control.
At 02:43, the kernel-orchestrator completes the stack:
61c51fa — feat(bsi-v3-9): kernel-orchestrator — loop workflow, exit triggers, tiered close, circuit breaker
It needed a ground to test on. SuperOAuth Tier 3 was the obvious choice: real project, real constraints. 16 npm vulnerabilities, a dead CI/CD pipeline, a sprint to deliver, a prod deploy at the end.
d2feace (02:45) — feat(workflow): superoauth-tier3 — 4 steps, test terrain brain-hypervisor mode assisté (“feat(workflow): superoauth-tier3 — 4 steps, brain-hypervisor field test in assisted mode”)
Four steps, three distinct scopes. The workflow YAML orchestrates the sequence. brain-launch gets its cases so3-1 to so3-4 — each case generates a targeted prompt to paste into a satellite window.
The test ground reveals what only shows up in practice: the separate hypervisor window turns the human into a messenger. He receives the report, pastes it back into the supervisor window, copies the brief, pastes it into the third window. The protocol is correct. The friction is pointless.
The discovery is captured in workflow.yml: “Découvert par friction : fenêtre hyperviseur séparée = humain devient le pipe entre fenêtres. L’Agent tool supprime ce frottement.” (“Discovered through friction: separate hypervisor window = the human becomes the pipe between windows. The Agent tool removes that friction.”)
The hypervisor case is added to brain-launch.sh. The coach runs the protocol in its own window, spawns the delegate agents in the background, and the human only sees the gates.
At 03:27, diagram-scribe and the draw satellite — an Excalidraw workflow to make the topology visible. Not just readable in YAML.
The dawn of visions
It is 5 a.m. The API Key is delivered, the hypervisor tested, the workflow auditor in place. Anyone reasonable would go to sleep.
At 05:05, SATELLITES.md is written — the index of the constellation of 9 satellite repos. At 05:28, a compliance audit runs over 46 agents to propagate the frontmatter conventions. At 05:32, secrets-guardian migrates to brain-secrets with git-crypt. At 05:34, the feature-gate agent is forged — PayByFeature runtime, the gate that will decide what each tier can see.
Three parallel workflows are created at 05:47: OriginsDigital, TetaRdPG, Clickerz. The brain is not preparing one project — it is preparing three at once.
The story writes itself
At 07:56, three content agents are forged at once: content-strategist, scriptwriter, seo-youtube. A complete video production team, as agents.
At 07:57: feat(content): YouTube brain story — strategy + scripts + seo-thumbnail (production-ready).
Then at 07:59, the most meta commit of the whole history:
ec0bbed — feat(story): 5 chapitres — histoire Brain 2026-03-14→17, sources vérifiées, filtre anti-hallucination (“feat(story): 5 chapters — Brain history 2026-03-14→17, verified sources, anti-hallucination filter”)
The first five chapters of this story. Written on the sixth day. The brain telling its own birth while it is still being built. The anti-hallucination filter is already in the commit description — the rule that says a fact that cannot be verified in the git log does not deserve to be told.
This is the moment the brain understands it has a story to tell.
Cosmos and the Cosmic Cortex
The morning tips over. The infrastructure is solid. The protocols are in place. And suddenly, the brain starts to dream.
At 08:38, a brain-ui design sprint starts — product audit, design system, specs. At 08:44, the ux-architect agent is forged.
At 08:51, brain-engine gets new endpoints: /agents, /teams, /workflows. The API fills out.
Then at 09:03:
084818e — vision(brain-ui): Cosmos — Three.js 3D embeddings map, galaxies sémantiques, Sprint 4 (“vision(brain-ui): Cosmos — Three.js 3D embeddings map, semantic galaxies, Sprint 4”)
Cosmos. The idea of taking the thousands of memory fragments of the brain — each a 768-dimension vector — and projecting them in 3D. A point cloud in space. Clusters that emerge naturally — agents group together, projects form constellations, decisions orbit around the kernel. Not a dashboard. A universe.
At 09:08, the /visualize endpoint is created — UMAP 3D, cache, zone filter. At 09:12, the vision of a 3D workflow space takes shape — constellations, gates as portals.
And at 09:14:
006958d — vision(brain-ui): Cosmic Cortex — nom canonique, fusion Cosmos + espace workflow 3D (“vision(brain-ui): Cosmic Cortex — canonical name, merging Cosmos + 3D workflow space”)
Cosmic Cortex. The name is set. The fusion of Cosmos (the memory map) and the workflow space (the living constellations). It is no longer a dashboard — it is a space cockpit for a digital brain.
The brain dreams of autonomy
At 09:46, between a WebSocket and a logs endpoint, a vision appears:
df20902 — vision(brain): Ambient Brain — moteur light local, identity.frigo, triggers, vie autonome entre sessions (“vision(brain): Ambient Brain — light local engine, identity.frigo, triggers, autonomous life between sessions”)
The Ambient Brain. The idea that the brain should not sleep between sessions. That a light engine, running locally, could watch the calendar, detect triggers, prepare the context before the human even arrives. A brain that lives.
At 10:41, Phase 3 of the Ambient Brain: phi-3-mini via Ollama. A small local model that can reason without calling an external API. The brain thinking on its own, on its own machine.
Ten sprints before noon
Between 09:53 and 10:47, brain-ui chains sprint after sprint. Sprint 2: WorkflowBuilder, TeamSelector. Sprint 3: GatesDrawer, LogDrawer. Sprint 4: Cosmos 3D + CommandPalette. Sprint 5-6: Ambient Brain integration. Sprint 7: InfraRegistry. Sprint 8: CosmosBackground. Sprint 9: real-time LogDrawer. Sprint 10: GateDrawer approval.
Nine sprints in 54 minutes. Not specs — shipped code.
At 11:02, tier enforcement v1 arrives: has_feature() gate on visualize, brain_write, ambient, infra. At 11:08, the laptop cold start is tested — requirements.txt, brain-dev.sh, .env.example. The brain checks that it can be born on a blank machine.
At 11:30, Level 2 frictionless: localhost gets a BSI bypass. Locally, no friction. Remotely, the gates hold.
MCP complete
At 11:36, the MCP gets brain_workflows(). At 11:44:
bea9624 — feat(mcp): brain_agents + brain_decisions + brain_focus + brain_write — interface primaire (“feat(mcp): brain_agents + brain_decisions + brain_focus + brain_write — primary interface”)
Seven MCP tools. The brain can be queried from any Claude session — agents, decisions, focus, workflows, search, boot, writing. The complete interface.
At 11:49, the full tier is normalized to owner. At 11:51, the CATALOG.yml of agents by tier is created.
78 commits. Twelve hours. The morning started with plumbing — API Key, scripts, workflows. It ended with visions — Cosmos, Cosmic Cortex, Ambient Brain, the story itself. The brain shipped and dreamed at the same time, in the same breath.
The test ground was meant to test the hypervisor. It tested something bigger: the brain’s ability to build infrastructure AND vision in parallel. In the night, bash scripts. At 9 a.m., a 3D universe. Same brain, same day.

2f672e7→0d6ca83, 09:53→10:47)
Pattern captured:
- coach-as-hypervisor — discovered through friction: separate window = human as pipe. Solution: Agent tool + integrated coach.
Key decisions
- Free tier = non-degraded default. The brain always works, key or no key. Monetization does not degrade the base experience.
- Test ground before merging. The hypervisor pattern emerged from friction, not from a spec. SuperOAuth Tier 3 was the prerequisite.
- The story is written in real time. The first five chapters are written on day 6. The anti-hallucination filter is in the commit. Traceability is native.
- Envision and ship at the same time. Cosmos, Ambient Brain, Cosmic Cortex are not specs set aside. They were born the same morning as tier enforcement and the 10 brain-ui sprints.
- The Agent tool as infrastructure. The hypervisor friction revealed that the human should only handle the gates, not the transport of information between windows.
