April 2 → 28, 2026

The launch is over. On April 1, the brain spoke up. On the 2nd, nothing. On the 3rd, at 2 a.m., the first move is not for the brain — it is for its story.

f2d98b7 (02:02) — story: assainissement 10 chapitres — retrait chemins absolus, noms secrets, URLs internes (“story: sanitizing 10 chapters — removal of absolute paths, secret names, internal URLs”)

The story has been announced for two days. It contains paths from the machine, names that should not get out, internal addresses. They are removed. An hour later, the 15 chapters are audited one by one against the git log: dates reset, a « vingt-huit jours » (“twenty-eight days”) that was only 16, hashes added everywhere. The rule is born that night, without anyone writing it down: one fact, one hash.

April 5, three in the morning. The brain tidies up its memory.

6197b8f (03:03) — feat: intentions V2 schema Dolt — 4 tables, migration 58 intentions (“feat: intentions V2 Dolt schema — 4 tables, migration of 58 intentions”)

The intentions — what the brain is working on — lived in YAML files, one per intention. They move into the database. Four tables. 58 intentions migrated, their links, their tags.

40 minutes later, a file disappears.

d26d682 (03:42) — brain: retire now.md — remplace par cap.md (humain) + Dolt (calcule) (“brain: removes now.md — replaced by cap.md (human) + Dolt (computed)”)

The commit body says why: « now.md servait de bridge entre sessions quand le brain n’avait pas Dolt. » (“now.md served as a bridge between sessions when the brain did not have Dolt.”) The brain has Dolt now. What can be computed, the database computes. What cannot be computed has its own file:

4e4dad3 (03:40) — brain: cap.md — boussole humaine, remplace now.md (“brain: cap.md — human compass, replaces now.md”)

« 5 lignes max : direction, mindset, énergie. Ce qui ne se calcule pas. » (“5 lines max: direction, mindset, energy. What cannot be computed.”)

The separation is clean. The machine holds the numbers; the human holds the course. The focus, for its part, is no longer written by hand — it is generated from the database, on demand. 8d274d0 (03:41) says it in three words: « Zero drift par design. » (“Zero drift by design.”)

An hour later, an agent is born with a security surface of its own.

e8a2140 (04:52) — feat: agent chrome-pilot — navigateur pilote par le brain, surface 5 securisee (“feat: chrome-pilot agent — browser driven by the brain, surface 5 secured”)

The brain drives a browser. And a browser sees tokens, cookies, authenticated pages. Surface 5: secrets that pass across a screen. The secrets guardian had closed the fourth in chapter 2. It adds one more.

On the evening of April 7, the intention files are deleted. 61 of them.

fa6ac71 (21:43) — migration: intentions YAML → Dolt source unique (“migration: intentions YAML → Dolt single source”)

Six minutes later, every agent that read those files is repointed to the database. Then Synapse, the cockpit, goes « Dolt-first » in turn. Then, at 23:38:

f0e060e (23:38) — release: Brain 1.0.0 — modele de donnees complet (“release: Brain 1.0.0 — complete data model”)

The body fits in one sentence:

« Le brain passe de fichiers avec conventions à système de données versionné. » — “The brain goes from files with conventions to a versioned data system.”

26 tables. About 19,500 lines. The changelog catches up in one go on three intermediate versions it had not tracked. The brain did not change its nature overnight — it recognized what it had become since chapter 12.

The next day, the cockpit learns to write. Tabs, editors, and a quick capture:

ee594b0 (16:43) — feat: QuickCapture — 5 modes (todo, intention, wiki, ADR, backlog)

Until then, Synapse showed the brain. Now it fills it.

A database is also names. On April 14, the brain’s decisions change their name.

64dc98a (14:07) — refactor(adr): BRAIN-057 — cross-refs ADR-0XX -> BRAIN-0XX (sed sweep)

89 files. Every « ADR-0XX » becomes « BRAIN-0XX ». It is not cosmetic: a decision now bears the name of the project that holds it. Six days later, a decision that concerned SuperOAuth leaves the brain and becomes SOA-001 (0d9b8a4). The brain keeps what is its own, and gives back the rest.

On April 24, it draws its boundary.

778e8bf (19:55) — kernel: bump v2.0.0 — single-axis + wiki CHANGELOG v2.0.0 + versioning.md

A single version for the brain, its engine and its interface. And in the body: « Projets autonomes Synapse et SuperOAuth sortent du scope brain CHANGELOG. » (“Autonomous projects Synapse and SuperOAuth leave the scope of the brain CHANGELOG.”) What it carries is not what it is.

On April 27, the database shows its first blind spot.

eacfdd3 (16:51) — handoffs(synapse): drift majeur projets/+workspace/ pas synces dans Dolt (“handoffs(synapse): major drift projets/+workspace/ not synced into Dolt”)

The migration only covered sessions, claims, signals. The project records and the workspace were not in the database — and so invisible in the cockpit. A data system that does not know it is missing data. It will not be the last time.

The next day, a decision.

6eeff99 (14:13) — kernel: schema postures (BRAIN-069) v2.0.1 — master/replica-nomad (“kernel: postures schema (BRAIN-069) v2.0.1 — master/replica-nomad”)

Two postures for one instance. Master: all rights. Replica-nomad: the laptop works on the projects, it never builds the brain. The body is honest: « Aucun comportement actif tant que livrables 3-4 non livrés. » (“No active behavior as long as deliverables 3-4 are not delivered.”)

The decision is accepted on April 28. That same day, the profil repository ticks its whole backlog: laptop set up as replica-nomad, locks tested (ea64f46). Five months later, a brain commit will nonetheless call it never carried out.

Key decisions

  • Dolt, single source. The intentions leave their files; the focus is computed. What lives in two places ends up saying two things.
  • The human holds the course. cap.md — five lines, direction and energy. Everything that can be computed, the database computes; the rest cannot be delegated.
  • Brain 1.0.0. Not a rewrite: the recognition of what the brain had become. A complete, versioned data model.
  • Decisions bear the name of their project. BRAIN-0XX for the brain, SOA for SuperOAuth. A brain that keeps everything ends up no longer knowing what is its own.
  • v2.0.0, a single axis. The brain, its engine and its interface move forward together; the projects it carries have their own history.
  • BRAIN-069, accepted — backlog ticked the same day. The laptop will do, it will not build. The profil repository declares it done on April 28; the brain will only call it operational on September 24.
